The hippocampus was automatically delineated based on an algorithm that uses a probabilistic atlas and examines variations in voxel intensities and spatial relationships to classify subcortical regions on MRI scans [39].
The watershed boundary of the study area was automatically delineated using SRTM data which are freely available on the website (http://glcf.umd.edu).edu
