The phrase "author's message" is correct and usable in written English.
It can be used when discussing the main idea or theme that an author conveys through their work, such as a book, article, or essay.
Example: "The author's message in the novel highlights the importance of resilience in the face of adversity."
Alternatives: "writer's intent" or "creator's theme".
It concludes with an "author's message," two appendices, and a twenty-page bibliography.
But you would never know that these words are not an author's message for all time but an imagined engraving on a fictional college building.
