3.15pm BST Website claims journalist worked for CIA Syria Truth, a pro-Assad website, has posted an article today (in Arabic) claiming that Austin Tice, the missing US freelance journalist, was working for the CIA and "assistance in the field of communication" for Syrian rebels in the Darayya district of Damascus when he disappeared.
And a Pentagon report to Congress last October said that at least 70 percent of Afghan Army units still needed American assistance in the field as of last September.
