The phrase "assessment style" is correct and usable in written English.
It can be used when discussing the method or approach taken to evaluate or assess something, such as in education or performance reviews.
Example: "The assessment style used in this course emphasizes critical thinking and problem-solving skills."
Alternatives: "evaluation method" or "assessment approach".
In our suite of second year chemical engineering units of study, a range of assessment styles have been explored, including group-written project reports, interviews, confidential self and peer-assessments, individual laboratory reports, quizzes and a final examination.
