The phrase "assessment of the scheme" is correct and usable in written English.
It can be used when discussing the evaluation or analysis of a particular plan, project, or system.
Example: "The assessment of the scheme revealed several areas for improvement that need to be addressed before implementation."
Alternatives: "evaluation of the plan" or "analysis of the project".
