Primary outcomes were defined as smoking abstinence confirmed via carbon monoxide (CO) breath testing with daily smoking assessed via timeline followback (TLFB) [ 60] at two weeks post-quit.
Assessing the timeline of the review procedure is a relevant indicator of ERB performance and dispels the myth that the ERB is responsible for a slow review process.
Inclusion for the present study was based on drinking as assessed using the Timeline Followback method [ 27].
Cannabis use was assessed with the Timeline Follow-Back method (TLFB), a well-validated self-report method to record frequency of cannabis use as adapted for adolescents [ 25].
Frequency and quantity of substance misuse were assessed using the timeline followback method, 34 which has good reported reliability and validity in dual diagnosis populations.
An important limitation of the present study is the choice of biomarkers assessed, and the timeline over which they are considered.
Total alcohol consumed in standard UK units (1 unit = 8 g ethanol) over the 28 days before the 12-month follow-up, assessed using the Timeline Follow Back interview 28-day version (TLFB28) will be our primary outcome measure.
Secondary outcomes were frequency and amount of substance use (assessed using the timeline followback method), readiness to change, perceived negative consequences of use, psychotic symptom ratings, number and duration of relapses, and global assessment of functioning and deliberate self harm at 12 and 24 months, with additional timeline followback assessments at 6 and 18 months.

The ascendant frequency of high cytokine for each timeline was assessed to generate the T0, T1, T6 and T12 cytokine signatures (bar charts).
Paradoxically, because soil and subsurface properties may be changed radically, rehabilitation success can only be assessed effectively over longer timelines and preferably using multiple ecological indicators and endpoints (e.g. Block et al. 2001; Nichols and Nichols 2003; Craig et al. 2012; Williams et al. 2012; Critescu et al. 2013; Majer et al 2013).
