The phrase "asserting you will" is correct and usable in written English.
It can be used when you want to express a declaration or statement about someone's intention or commitment to do something.
Example: "In the meeting, she was asserting you will complete the project by the deadline."
Alternatives: "claiming you will" or "stating you will".
Raman Khanna of ONSET Ventures, No. 74 on this year's list, asserts, "You will have to drag my cold dead body out of the Silicon Valley".
An ominous road marker asserts, "You'll never leave," which is morbidly accurate.
"If you like peanut butter and chocolate," the ads assert, "you'll love peanut butter and Snickers".
OK, maybe that's a little draconian, like the diet that cheerfully asserts you'll never eat bread again (please!).
