The phrase "assert that the same" is not commonly used in written English and may sound awkward.
It could be used in contexts where one is claiming or stating that something is identical or equivalent to something else, but it is better to rephrase for clarity. Example: "The researchers assert that the same conclusions can be drawn from both studies."
