The phrase "assert no" is correct and usable in written English.
It can be used when you want to express that someone is making a statement that denies or negates something.
Example: "In his argument, he chose to assert no evidence to support his claims."
Alternatives: "claim no" or "state no".
"I'm a happy guy," he'd assert, no matter the topic, the setting, the listener.
