The phrase "asking for awareness" is correct and usable in written English.
It can be used when you want to request that someone be more conscious or mindful of a particular issue or situation.
Example: "In our meeting, I will be asking for awareness regarding the impact of our decisions on the environment."
Alternatives: "requesting attention" or "seeking mindfulness".
