Participants with anterior Q waves showed a statistically significant, 80% increased risk for cardiovascular events compared with those without any Q waves in the unadjusted model as well as the first four sequential adjustment models (unadjusted HR 1.80, 95% CI 1.15 2.82; Model 4 adjusted HR 1.85, 95% CI 1.14 3.00) (Table 4).
In premenopausal women, the logistic regression analysis (Wald test) presented significant associations of A-FABP with the probability of MetS and all cardiometabolic risk factors in the unadjusted model as well as in all models adjusted for age or years since menopause (except elevated glucose and TG).
To test the linear trend in the association between childhood adversities and incident asthma, we treated childhood adversities as a count variable; in the unadjusted model the HR was 1.12 (95% CI 1.07 to 1.19, p<0.001) and in the fully adjusted model 1.06 (95% CI 1.01 to 1.13, p=0.032).
As indicated in Table 3, in the unadjusted model, migrants had decreased odds of hazardous alcohol use, current smoking and illicit drug use in the past month compared to non-migrants.
Participants with 25(OH D deficiency were twice as likely to have albuminuria in the unadjusted model (OR 2.05, 95% CI 1.58-2.67, p < 0.001) and the association remained significant when adjusted for age and gender (OR 1.79, 95% CI 1.40-2.29), p < 0.001).
ABI were presented as the mean ± standard deviation in the unadjusted model and the mean ± standard error of the mean in the multivariable models.
In the unadjusted model each variable was tested independently as a predictor of academic achievement.
The effects of industry type were statistically significant only in the unadjusted model, but became insignificant after adjustment for covariates.
Illness perceptions predicted benefit recipiency in the unadjusted model, but not in the fully adjusted model.
However, heritability was always higher in the unadjusted model than in the adjusted model (Fig. 4).
