In all years, using simple regression to estimate crude associations, the incidence of LEA increased within the HRR as a function of increasing prevalence of diabetes, prevalence of microvascular or macrovascular complication associated with diabetes, percentage of females, mortality rate associated with having a DFU, and the percentage of African Americans.
