The selected articles for this study are firstly collected from the ISI Web of Science database.

The selection of articles for this study was a two-step procedure.
To obtain articles for the current study, we conducted electronic searches within the scholarly database search engines of Medline, PsycInfo, PsycArticles, JSTOR, Academic Search Complete, Social Sciences Citation Index, EBSCO, and PubMed.

The full articles for the potentially relevant studies were retrieved and reviewed by three reviewers (OO, MB and AA) based on study type, study design, participants, settings, eligible outcomes and interventions.
However, full articles were sought for all articles where the study title and available information appeared to be related to data linkage but lacked a detailed abstract.
