The phrase "arrival surface" is correct and usable in written English.
It can be used in contexts related to transportation, aviation, or any scenario where an object or person arrives at a specific surface or location.

In western Shikoku, the high spectral values are interpreted to represent a region of NVT activity, partly because similar NVT in this region was triggered by the arrival of surface waves.
In the present study, the epicentral distance to the triggering event is very small, and large signals of higher than a few Hz from the main-shock and its aftershocks are simultaneously observed during the arrival of surface waves.
