It can be used when discussing methods or strategies for presenting or analyzing arguments in various contexts, such as debates, essays, or discussions.
Example: "In her essay, she employed a strong argument technique to effectively persuade her readers of her viewpoint."
Alternatives: "argument strategy" or "persuasive technique".
One text (Book 16) dubs this argument technique "developing two alternatives" (liang er jin zhi).
