Choose new places that are not traditionally thought of as areas for a mirror and challenge the onlooker to a new view of the world.
However, the difference in average values for mirror area was greatest between sympatric G. fultoni and sympatric G. vernalis populations and was smallest between far allopatric G. fultoni and sympatric G. vernalis populations.
Except for mirror area, the number of teeth in a file, and ovipositor length of G. fultoni, all male and female morphological characters in G. fultoni and G. vernalis exhibited a uniform tendency to decrease in size with increasing latitude.
Further, we show in Author response image 1 that correlations drop off with angular distance for areas that contain overlapping RFs (e.g., V2v – V3v) as well as for mirror symmetric connections across hemispheres (e.g., V2v RH – V2v LH).
Examine these areas for skin irregularities in the full-view mirror.

For male crickets, the response variables included head width, thorax length, hind femur length, harp area, mirror area, and the number of teeth in a file.
