The phrase "area of preference" is correct and usable in written English.
It can be used to describe a specific field or category in which someone has a particular liking or inclination, often in contexts like job applications or surveys.
Example: "In the job application, I indicated my area of preference as marketing and communications."
Alternatives: "field of preference" or "preferred area".
Remarkably, preferred latitude, longitude, and the area of preference of highly elongating rice accessions showed exactly the same pattern (Fig. 4b-g) as for other abiotic stresses.
Interestingly, the preferred latitude, longitude, and the area of preference of salt tolerant accessions remained the same (Additional file 1: Figure S1a-c, identical to the large-scale screening, Fig. 1b-g).
