The phrase "area of logging" is correct and usable in written English.
It can be used to refer to a specific region or zone where logging activities take place, often in discussions about forestry, environmental impact, or land use.
Example: "The area of logging has significantly increased over the past decade, raising concerns about deforestation."
Alternatives: "logging region" or "logging zone".
Adjacent to this primary forest is the 238 000 ha Ulu Segama-Malua Forest Reserve (US-MFR) containing selectively logged forest, of which 97 000 ha (41%) has undergone a single rotation of timber extraction (once-logged forest) and the remaining area has undergone two rotations of logging (twice-logged forest).
Nor could any difference in species richness be detected when comparing equal surface area of logs, using rarefaction analysis (Fig. 2a).

The timber industry is similarly animated, saying the Tongass is already subject to a federal "management plan" that balances wilderness protection in the area with a prudent amount of logging.
