Recently, Brandon et al. [20] described that the target of rapamycin (TOR) kinase, which has been implicated in nutrient sensing, was involved in early trypsin transcription and synthesis in the mosquito A. aegypti midgut in response to feeding.
The foot has been implicated in nutrient movement from gametophyte to sporophyte cells, which as also been compared to the suspensor of higher plant embryos [ 27].
B-MYB has very recently been implicated in nutrient signaling, and this may be an important pathway that connects it to anti-aging signaling (Fig. 2).

Moss protonemata are composed of two types of elongated cells: chloronemata which are highly vacuolated, contain large chloroplasts and are mainly involved in photosynthesis, and caulonemata which are thinner, longer, contain a basal vacuole and fewer chloroplasts, and are implicated in land colonization and nutrient acquisition [ 8, 9].
These genes play a role in nutrient flow and/or are implicated in remobilization [ 27, 28].
As expected and in contrast to the paucity of metabolic enzymes, B. massiliensis encompasses numerous genes for proteins that are implicated in the transport of most essential nutrients into bacterial cells.
The majority of these genes are implicated in critical cellular processes such as chromosome segregation, nutrient-sensing, stress response and mitochondrial function.
They are implicated in a variety of physiologic and pathologic processes such as nutrient metabolism, energy homeostasis, inflammation, and cancer.
