The phrase "are due to evolution" is correct and usable in written English.
It can be used to indicate that certain characteristics, changes, or phenomena are a result of the process of evolution.
Example: "The diverse adaptations seen in various species are due to evolution over millions of years."
Alternatives: "result from evolution" or "are a consequence of evolution".
