The phrase "approximated with the same" is not correct in standard written English.
It can be used when discussing the estimation of values or measurements that are similar or identical to one another.
Example: "The results were approximated with the same method used in previous studies."
Alternatives: "estimated using the same" or "calculated with the same".
With this technique, for the images in Figure 2a,b we computed two slightly different PSFs, one for the recto and the other for the verso, that were then roughly approximated with a same Gaussian of standard deviation 1.
