With this approach, large lattices can be simulated in linear time.
Using the NPP approach, the system can be simulated using all three variables (method ABψ), the two concentrations and the potential, or the two concentrations and the potential field (method ABE), or in principle by substituting for the potential field, thereby reducing to the two concentration variables (method AB).
Better descriptions of such events than the simplified approaches mentioned above can be simulated (Marinova et al. 2008, 2011).
And it turns out that if we adopt a possibilist approach, the actualist semantics can be simulated.
With that approach, complex shapes and material distributions can be simulated.
Hence, in landscapes with variable shares of protected sites and maize acreages, the SUA levels become increasingly unpredictable but can be simulated using our approach.
Note that any temporal pattern of cyclic stretch can be simulated using this approach by varying the magnitude of each step to match the rate of stretch at a particular point in the cycle.
In taking such an approach, responses to any desired therapeutic scenario can be simulated, with the ultimate goal of matching every patient to the "right" drug (and, in a clinical trial, every drug to the right set of patients) either directly by the results of the modeling, or indirectly using biomarkers derived through this process (Fig. 1).
Models which are validated using model checking approaches are dynamic i.e. they can be simulated in order to generate timeseries data which illustrate how they change over time.
In addition, more complicated non-stationary temporal patterns of fire occurrence also can be simulated with the same approach.
