This paper describes a composites initiative in which Taylor Woodrow Technology used prepregs for a long span demonstrator application.
The main outcome from the project was a demonstrator application that shows how experiments and the environment around them can be monitored using various sensors and video monitors.
The implementation of both the networking layer and the demonstrator applications could be performed within limited manpower constraints, while providing all required functionality.
These developments and their application to the next demonstrator supermodule will be outlined.
