Based on the large-scale EST sequencing databases, the expression patterns of four types of MTs in sugarcane were investigated using 13 different sources of cDNA libraries including shoot-root zone, root, lateral bud, stem bark, stem internode, leaf, leaf roll, apex, flower, seed, callus, in vitro plantlet infected with Herbaspirillum rubri ssp.
Set-aside/conservation covers (in 2001) were a mixture of wheat and OSR (cv. Malacca at 150 seeds m−2 and cv. Apex at 20 seeds m−2, respectively), both sown on 5 September.

These data are in accordance with our earlier observations in Brassica napus of the relatively high expression of Hsp90 in apex, flowers and seeds, as well as of its responsiveness to cold temperatures [46].
