"They can't get this get anywhere else," said Mawle.
"Once you put it on Netflix, you really can't sell it anywhere else," said Mr. Bewkes.
"I never really got that small-town feeling anywhere else," said Ms. Dreyer, now 34.
"Students here are just like students anywhere else," said Catherine Murphy, a spokeswoman for the university.
"It does feel different performing at Glastonbury than anywhere else," said Smith.
"Most of these films are not available anywhere else," said Eric Beckman, the festival's founder.
"We are better off than almost anywhere else," said John McClain, an economist at George Mason University.
"They just made it so much more compelling to center my communications on Facebook rather than anywhere else," said Charlene Li, an analyst with the Altimeter Group.
"It was a little depressing, because for that price I could have a very large house anywhere else," said Mr. Frazier, who is from Alabama.
"We don't have any evidence as yet that what he describes in that book applies anywhere else," said Stephen Palmer, Lonely Planet's chief executive, to the BBC.
