The phrase "any type of practitioners" is correct and usable in written English.
It can be used when referring to a variety of professionals or individuals who practice a certain skill or profession, without specifying which ones.
Example: "The conference is open to any type of practitioners in the field of healthcare, including doctors, nurses, and therapists."
Alternatives: "any kind of practitioners" or "any form of practitioners".
In addition, medical doctors can (and sometimes do) provide folk or other alternative treatments in these countries [ 24, 32] and it is possible that respondents could have interpreted the question more generally as referring to any type of practitioner providing these treatments.
