The phrase "any sort of intention" is correct and usable in written English.
It can be used when discussing various types or degrees of intention behind an action or statement.
Example: "I don't believe he had any sort of intention to deceive us during the meeting."
Alternatives: "any kind of intention" or "any type of intention".
