The data obtained clearly indicate that the acute and sub-chronic oral administration of T. procumbens extract exhibited only anti hyperglycaemic effects and did not produce any change in the blood glucose levels of normoglycemic fasted rats.
There was a significant increase in the proportion of blood vessels in SMARKO adult testes compared to controls (Figure 7E); this appeared to be due to an increase in average blood vessel size (data not shown, p = 0.09) rather than any changes in the number of blood vessel cross sections per testis (data not shown, p = 0.8).
