Answers to the second sort of question might be found on Sunday at the Brooklyn Zine Fest at Public Assembly in Williamsburg.
Some of the answers are provided in a substantial new anthology, "The Book of Heaven" (Oxford University, $30), edited by Philip Zaleski and Carol Zaleski, who has also produced books on "Otherworld Journeys" (answers to the second question) and "The Life of the World to Come" (third question).
The host, Tad Low, who created "Pop Up Video" on VH1, heads underground with a camera crew, stopping passengers and asking questions like "What's the most expensive pair of shoes you've ever bought?" or "What's the strangest place you've ever had sex?" The answers (to the second question, anyway) ranged from - surprise - "the subway" to "I can't believe you asked that question".
The answers to the second assignment were analyzed to identify transfer skills, based on the literature that shows that question posing can serve as a mean for identifying students' knowledge and thinking skills (Barak & Rafaeli, 2004; Sasson & Dori, 2012).
To better interpret these results, we also run the same regressions using as the dependent variable the dummy constructed from answers to the second policy question, which explicitly asks respondents to compare the Senate and the House plan.
