The problem with this is that there is another narration of Prophet Muhammad saying "Migration will not end until repentance ends, and repentance will not end until the sun rises in the west".

I don't read Norwegian, so I cannot deliver a final verdict, but the reason I would send it to someone incarcerated is quite simple: Knausgaard delves so deeply into the sheer banality of life that the reader cannot help but become transfixed … thus one can be locked in a concrete room, and at the same time remember one's own experiences through another's narration, albeit with a Nordic twist.
Another approach invoked narration to account for agency.

Some poetry (comedy and tragedy are mentioned) proceeds wholly by imitation, another wholly by simple narration (dithyrambs are mentioned), and epic poetry combines the two forms of narrative.
This is up to you but some authors find that they write with greater ease in one form of narration over another, so it might take you a little while to work this out.
