Figure 5 shows the contact angle pictures of working fluids on heated surfaces (copper sheets mentioned in Sec. 2 Experimental apparatus and process").
When the wipers are at around a 45 degree angle (pictured), quickly turn the key to the off position so that the wipers stop half-way through their motion.
It also always records a wide-angle picture with your close-up.
Also extraordinary is Toyohara Kunichika's dramatic wide-angle picture from 1894 of an actor dressed in a sumptuously patterned costume surrounded by vividly colored flames.

I try to step back to a meta-perspective in the hope of achieving a clearer-headed view, but the wide-angle picture becomes even more chaotic.
The result is a wide-angle picture of Earth throughout history that gives a general sense of what cultural evolution on Earth is like. ET will have learned quite a bit, actually, about how humans evolve and form societies over time, but a lot of the detail will be left out.
