The phrase "and thus the patterns" is correct and usable in written English.
It can be used to indicate a conclusion or result that follows logically from previous statements, often in analytical or academic contexts.
Example: "The data collected over the years has shown consistent trends, and thus the patterns we observe can be reliably interpreted."
Alternatives: "and therefore the patterns" or "and so the patterns".
