The phrase "and the third study" is correct and usable in written English.
It can be used when referring to a specific study in a series of studies or research findings.
Example: "The results of the first two studies were promising, and the third study confirmed these findings with a larger sample size."
Alternatives: "as for the third study" or "regarding the third study".
