Integrin-mediated cell adhesion, cell spreading, activation of focal adhesion kinase (FAK), and Src were investigated, and the distribution of αIIbβ3, skelemin, and talin was measured in the protrusions of the cell leading edge.
When combined with our studies showing that exogenously [5] and endogenously (Fig. 2) expressed Rab4b and Rab11 become enriched in the protrusions of cells depleted of mDpy-30, these data suggest that instead of changing the trafficking of β1 integrin, mDpy-30 knockdown leads to the spatial redistribution of the trafficking compartments themselves.
In all cases a component of the podocalyxin and collagen were colocalized in the protrusions.
A good fit was found for the modelled Mo-RBD structure in the upper protrusions that limited the cavity of the native Env and in the corresponding protrusions of the opened IAS Env.
The gradual degradation observed at higher annealing temperatures can be explained by the increased amount of carbon clusters at the contact interface and in the Pt2Si protrusions due to incomplete diffusion of carbon upon further consumption of SiC, which has been shown to become an issue at annealing above 600°C [23].
At E12.5, the Sox9 expression domain was broadened anteriorly in the presumptive first digit of the forelimb, and in the anterior protrusion of the hindlimb bud (Fig. 9S,T vs 9N,O).
We found that as little as 5 min of treatment with Uncl-Sema3E were sufficient to trigger a dramatic disassembly of focal adhesion complexes (Fig 3B); these structures connect integrins with the cytoskeleton and are pivotally involved in the protrusion of cellular processes as well as in cell migration dynamics.
We have not yet identified the proteins that interact with the presumptive binding sites identified by mutations in the protrusion and external 2 domains of Rpb2.
Many of the surface substitutions in the protrusion and external 2 domains also altered residues corresponding to or next to positions found to crosslink to TFIIF.
In Figure 5c, d, filled and open circles refer to the protrusions in the topmost and the underlying bilayers, respectively.
