The phrase "and higher grades of" is correct and usable in written English.
It can be used when discussing levels, categories, or classifications that are above a certain standard or quality.
Example: "The study focuses on the effects of various teaching methods on student performance, particularly in advanced subjects and higher grades of mathematics."
Alternatives: "and advanced levels of" or "and superior categories of".
