PIK3C2A (α polypeptide) and PIK3C2B (β polypepetide) are both vertebrate specific and form a strongly supported clade.
However, 2 specimens, the archival isolate V458IND and a recent human specimen INDH33, were clearly the most distinctive of the group and formed a strongly supported subgroup within this cluster.
