Unfortunately, some of these rivers are sites of active Atlantic salmon restoration programs, and polychlorinated biphenyls have been implicated as ancillary factors contributing to failed salmon restoration.
Numerous ancillary factors include bedrock-loess interface, slope steepness, vegetation cover, and land utilization.
