This survey aims to review and analyze papers that use search-based refactoring.
First, we did not analyze papers published in languages other than English.
In addition, the skills involved in being able to read and critically analyze papers are applicable across subject areas and are not specific to biology.
Due to the fact that there has been very little research done in this field in general we decided to analyze papers from the whole PubMed dataset.
It required so much more than just reading a book and making an exam, it was really helpful in developing reading, writing and presenting skills, but it also helped me to be able to better (and quicker) analyze papers, interpret figures etc. and at the end, after the jury presentation and everything, there is a feeling of pride, that you actually really accomplished something.
