The phrase "analysis of the writing" is correct and usable in written English.
It can be used when discussing the examination or interpretation of a piece of written work, such as an essay, article, or literary text.
Example: "The analysis of the writing revealed several underlying themes that were not immediately apparent."
Alternatives: "examination of the text" or "evaluation of the writing".
