The phrase "analysis of the assault" is correct and usable in written English.
It can be used in contexts where you are discussing the examination or evaluation of an incident involving an attack or violence.
Example: "The report included a detailed analysis of the assault, highlighting the factors that led to the incident."
Alternatives: "examination of the attack" or "evaluation of the incident."
