The phrase "analyses a total of" is correct and usable in written English.
It can be used when discussing the number of items or subjects that have been examined or studied in a research context.
Example: "The study analyses a total of 150 samples to determine the effectiveness of the new treatment."
Alternatives: "examines a total of" or "reviews a total of".
