In exogenous expression systems, blocking or abolition of the binding of ZO-1 to Cx43 leads to formation of exceptionally large, extensive gap junctions, an effect that is reversed when the capacity to interact is restored.
The top 10 uncertainties reveal an extensive knowledge gap about widely used interventions and the relative merits of drug versus non-drug based treatments in acne management.
This represents an extensive knowledge gap considering the role that nematodes are considered to play in regulating the structure and function of the soil microbial community as a whole (Ekelund, 1999; Ekelund et al., 2000; Boucard et al., 2004).
In addition, studies have shown functional cell-to-cell communication via classic gap junctions between articular chondrocytes in the superficial layer, as well as extensive gap junctional coupling among articular chondrocytes in a network that is analogous to the osteocytic canalicular network found in bone [ 13– 15].

Conversely, expression of the constitutively active form of Stat3, Stat3C [ 26], increased the already extensive gap junctional communication in SK-LuCi6 cells (Table 1,A).
