A rather clear example can be observed in the SAM-I riboswitch, where a long helix (P2) is kinked by a standard, simple K-turn to facilitate the docking of the terminal loop into a receptor in helix P4 [4,44] (Fig. 8).
The effects of an aerosol drug, of the kind dispensed by an asthma inhaler for example, can be observed in terms of how it enters the lungs, how it affects the heart, how it is metabolised by the liver and how it is excreted by the kidneys, with any adverse side-effects monitored along the way in real time.
Another example can be observed in species of the genera Cypraeidae, Marginellidae, Olividae and Columbellidae which have many endemic species in the Southern Caribbean [43], [102], [103] that apparently originated through several vicariant events related to the evolution of the Caribbean Sea [84], [104].
In this sense, some interesting examples can be observed in the works of Conradi et al. (2005); (Basten and Mellis 2011), and Pfahl et al. (2014).
In fact, by a numerical example, the effectiveness of the model can be observed, and decision makers can get a better idea of it.
Two examples of contrast enhancement by backward diffusion model can be observed in Fig. 5 for the "monotonic step" and "extrema" cases.
As we can observe in the upper plot of Figure 4, corresponding to countries, we observe several transition points; for example a transition can be observed during the First World War, with the decreasing centrality of Austria and Hungary due to the end of the Austro-Hungarian emperor and the entering in the ranking of Russia.
From this illustrative example, it can be observed that in a CCM total provisioning cost is less than the non-coordinated approach and in certain cases users' on-demand requests those could not be provisioned with the latter approach despite the availability of required resources (at the pooled resources level of coordinated market) can be made using the coordinated approach.
For example, it can be observed that there is a tendency for longer development times for the set of standards involving larger enterprises (LE), and also for the set involving universities (Uni) compared to the sets of standards involving research institutes (RI), non-profit organisations (NPO) and hospitals (H).
For example, it can be observed in Figure 4c that only a very small portion of the surface would be modified (PMA<10%) if larger particles (>80 nm) with the same type and size of coating were used.
