The average amount and kind of concentrates fed to the cows were quite similar in all regions, and the average amount of mineral supplements was slightly higher in region 1 than in regions 3 and 4. On the other hand, the observed pattern is in fairly good accordance with the geographical distribution of Se in farmland soil, harvested roughage and sheep tissues [ 46, 49, 34].
