The phrase "alternative lags" is not a standard expression in written English and may cause confusion.
It could be used in contexts discussing different time delays or variations in data analysis, but clarity is essential.
Example: "In our study, we examined the effects of alternative lags on the results of the regression analysis."
Alternatives: "different delays" or "varied time lags".
In sensitivity analyses, alternative lag periods were used and cases identified through hospitalisations were included (see appendix).
Figure 1 includes the individual risk estimates for all three studies, with three alternative lag times for DEMS.
