Analyses of the three large transcriptionally altered diabetic datasets (Mexican_Hs, IR_Hs and DN_Hs) demonstrate that the oxidative stress induced deregulation of β-catenin plays an important role in causing kidney diabetic complications by the down-regulation of CDH5.
We found 7,640 genes to be altered in their dataset by 2-way ANOVA and 63% overlap of their regulated genes with our dataset at the same post-inoculation times.
These all genes were also found to be altered in TCGA dataset with minimum 3%% cumulative frequency (Additional file 1: Figure S8).
