Based on the detection of 12 cell lines with inactivated TP53 in the validation set of 52 cell lines considered to be TP53 WT by Jeay et al., (2015), a careful examination of TP53 status in the set of 113 cell lines considered to be TP53 WT resulted in identification of 29 cancer cell lines containing inactivating TP53 alterations, which are summarized in Supplementary file 1C.
