The phrase "almost appearing" is correct and usable in written English.
It can be used to describe something that seems to be on the verge of becoming visible or evident, but is not quite there yet.
Example: "The sun was almost appearing over the horizon, casting a soft glow on the landscape."
Alternatives: "nearly visible" or "just about showing".
