Allocation concealment was used in six trials using sealed envelopes [ 21- 26], and, although one study did not state allocation concealment, we agreed that this study's allocation method was low risk for our purposes because it used a web-based randomization system [ 27].
The risk of bias regarding random sequence generation and allocation concealment was low in the study by Maggiore et al. [21] and unclear in the remaining two.
However, the overall number of trials reporting the randomization and allocation methods was low (18% and 10%, respectively).
