Given the received SNRs which are available at the source and relay, our aim is to find the optimal resource allocation parameters that maximize capacity lower bound in terms of the transmitted power and the total bandwidth for -MBRC, which leads to optimally allocating the source power among source bands, the relay power among relay bands, and the total bandwidth among bands.

Besides, to achieve the best PSNR performance under a transmission rate, we use a heuristic method to allocate the source coding rate and channel coding rate.
One way to take this particular case into account is to perform a first optimization (called first step hereafter), trying to allocate the source power in an optimum way, not considering the constraint on the relay power.
The rate can be further increased by allocating the remaining source power to a carrier in set or in set.
The CTM-based MILP formulation is then extended to the ETM (expanded transshipment model), where further detailed examination such as allocating the power sources to demands is included and is also expressed as a mixed-integer linear programming model, for providing more detailed source-sink matching information.
For case B in Figure 7c, we can also observe that more power will be allocated to the source node and less power will be allocated to the relay node.
For case A in Figure 7c, we can observe that less power will be allocated to the source node and more power will be allocated to the relay node.
The final objective is to optimally allocate the available sources for investment M (budget), so as to minimize the economic losses due to the impact of extreme events.
Optimum power is allocated between the source and the selected relay to maximize the output signal-to-noise (SNR) at the destination.
More power is allocated to the source node.
where P TS is the total power allocated to the source terminals of the system.
